MY MESSAGE TO YOU

Allow me to share a bit of my journey. In 2017 I  was working as a self employed cleaner, barely making ends meet. The drudgery of my job weighed heavily on me, and I knew I needed a change. With no formal qualifications and lacking even a basic education, finding suitable employment seemed like an insurmountable task. I had flitted from one job to another, hoping that someday I’d “figure things out.”

But deep down, I carried a secret—a connection to something mystical.

From the tender age of 12, I experienced strange premonitions, these glimpses into the unseen world intrigued me, and I embarked on a quest for answers.

That’s when I discovered a realm vastly different from my everyday reality—a world of witchcraft.

Explaining my premonitions and interest in witchcraft to family and friends proved challenging.

The topic was often taboo, shrouded in misunderstanding and lack of education.

Popular media, with its sensationalized portrayals of witches, further fuelled misconceptions. Movies like “The Craft” and “Sabrina” painted an unrealistic picture, leading many to dismiss the genuine practices and culture.

For years, I suppressed my true self, feeling like I didn’t fit anywhere, but  in 2017, beaten down by my job and exhausted from gruelling hours, I reached a breaking point.

One morning, I woke up with a resolve: if I didn’t act right then, I might never do so. So, without another job lined up, I handed in my notice and made it my mission to succeed in something I loved.

And thus, The Coven was born—a haven for all things Pagan, Wiccan, and witchcraft-related.

But beyond the products, we foster a supportive and knowledgeable community.

Our Facebook page connects followers, allowing them to share advice, support, and resources.

Together, we celebrate our unique paths, and I am committed to ensuring that The Coven remains a place of appreciation, support, and quality service.

Thank you for being part of this magical journey and please remember, that no matter what, always be true to who you are.

We get one shot at this life, a life that is meant for living, a life that is for you  - So if you are worrying about ''acceptance'' from people, particularly people who really do not matter, remember this one thing - Those who mind, don't matter, and those that matter, don't mind.

Don't ever be afraid to be who you are, on the basis of what other people may think of you - because the only persons opinion of you that will ever truly matter, is your own.

Dream BIG, be extra kind to yourself, and be proud of that person who's currently walking in your shoes, YOU.

Blessed Be beautiful souls and thank you for making it to the end.

May the stars continue to guide us as we weave our spells and embrace our true selves.

Jeanine Hamlyn
